The Gainesville High volleyball team swept a tri-match Thursday night against Loganville (25-11, 25-11) and Rockdale County (25-12, 25-19).
Gainesville’s Sydney King had 29 digs, Tanai Watson had 15 kills, and Savannah Roys had 34 assists and 16 digs.
Gainesville (24-7, 4-0 Region 8-AAAAA) visits Winder-Barrow for a tri-match with Apalachee 5 p.m. Tuesday.
BUFORD WINS THREE: The Lady Wolves defeated Greater Atlanta Christian (25-12, 25-20), Meadowcreek (25-3, 25-4) and South Gwinnett (25-2, 25-10) Thursday night in the Gwinnett County Championship.
Buford’s Tatum Shipes had 20 kills, Avery Cason had 16 kills and Morgan Sutherland had 12 aces.
Buford (23-0) continues play in the Gwinnett County Championship Saturday.
JEFFERSON SWEEPS TRI-MATCH: Jefferson overcame 17 service errors to defeat Morgan County (25-16, 25-20) and East Jackson (25-13, 25-23).
Jefferson’s Lindsey Nilsen led the way with 18 kills. Abby Wood had 14 kills and 21 digs, Olivia Przybysz had 23 digs, Madison Corbett had 29 assists, and Grace Haney had 21 assists.
Jefferson (27-5, 6-2) visits Lakeview Academy 5 p.m. Tuesday.
TALLULAH FALLS 3, EAST HALL 2: East Hall lost (22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 10-25, 15-10) Thursday night.
East Hall’s Minette Maldonado had 13 kills and 16 digs. Savannah Thellman had 29 assists, and Summer Lindsey had 34 digs.
East Hall (26-8) visits West Hall for a tri-match with Fannin County 6 p.m. Tuesday.
JOHNSON 2, WHITE COUNTY 0: Johnson’s Samantha Summerville had 13 aces for the Lady Knights Thursday night.
Johnson’s Grace Eidson had eight aces, six assists and four digs. Brittany Barker had three kills and four digs, and Julia Bowers had four digs.
Johnson (8-20, 3-1) visits North Hall for a tri-match with Madison County 7 p.m. Tuesday.
GAINESVILLE SPLITS: The Lady Red Elephants defeated Pinecrest Academy (18-25, 25-22, 25-18) and lost to Lanier (25-11, 25-17) Wednesday night at home.

The Banks County softball team won at East Hall 4-1 Thursday night.
Banks County pitcher Mallory Parson threw a complete game for the Leopards. She allowed one earned run on five hits with nine strikeouts and two walks. Banks County’s Kelyn Parson went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Banks County (13-6, 9-1) visits Dawson County 5:55 p.m. next Thursday, while East Hall (12-11, 4-6) travels to Lumpkin County 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
BUFORD 8, MONROE AREA 0: Buford pitcher Peyton Wolfe (9-0) threw a four-hit, complete game shutout at home Thursday night in the Brookwood Invitational.
Buford’s Baylee Sexton went 4-for-4 with two RBIs, two runs scored and two stolen bases. Lea Edwards went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, Samantha Thomas went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Drew Puckett went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Buford (15-4, 5-1) visits Mill Creek to play Ridgeland and Mill Creek starting at 6 p.m. Friday.
