The Dawson County girls basketball team defeated Chestatee 61-38 for the Mistletoe Madness championship on Tuesday at North Murray High in Chatsworth.

Tournament MVP Sheyenne Seabolt and Ashley Parker each scored 19 points for the Lady Tigers, who improved to 12-0. Karlie Bearden made the all-tournament team for Dawson County.

Tyler Bennett paced the Lady War Eagles with 11 points, with Kayla Watson pitching in eight and Lindsey Caudell adding seven.

Chestatee (7-5) begins the Lanierland Tournament against Flowery Branch at 1 p.m. Saturday at West Hall.

NORTHWEST WHITFIELD BOYS 61, DAWSON COUNTY 57: Levi Whitmire led the Tigers with 15 points in Tuesday’s loss in the Mistletoe Madness third-place game. Jackson Morgan added 12 for Dawson County.

Jackson Carroll totaled a game-high 26 points for Northwest Whitfield, which broke a 26-all halftime tie by outscoring the Tigers 21-11 in the third quarter.

Dawson County (2-10) faces Westmoreland (Tenn.) at the Mountaintop Classic in Lafayette, Tennessee, at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 79, DALTON 51: Seabolt paced the Lady Tigers with 25 points in Monday’s win as they earned a spot in the Mistletoe Madness finals.

Parker scored 16 points for Dawson County to give her 1,001 for her career, and Ansley Costley added 12 points.

COMMERCE GIRLS 62, JACKSON COUNTY 45: Four players scored in double digits to help Commerce defeat Jackson County on Tuesday night. Mya Jones scored a team-high 24 points, while Asia Jones and Madison Rodriquez chipped in 12 apiece. Mia Johnson scored 10 to help the Lady Tigers.

Commerce (4-7) will take on Madison County on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Commerce.
