High school scoreboard: Chestatee girls pull out overtime win against West Laurens

Chestatee’s Lindsey Caudell had a team-high with 26 points in a 49-47 overtime win against West Laurens on Monday in the Jones County Tournament. The Lady War Eagles still remain undefeated with a 13-0 record.

Chestatee plays Warner Robins at 4 p.m. today in the Jones County Tournament.

GAINESVILLE GIRLS 50, BANNEKER 34: Taylor Hawks had 15 points in a win against Banneker on Monday in the Carrollton Christmas Tourney. Tia Shelton finished with nine points and 11 rebounds for the Lady Red Elephants (5-2).

Gainesville visits Milton at 6 p.m. Thursday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 76, MOUNT PARAN 41: Lakeview Academy’s Hanna Grogan posted 24 points and dished out four assists against Mount Paran in the Providence Christian Classic. Kennedy Payne finished with 14 points and eight rebounds for the Lady lions (8-2).

Lakeview Academy plays Walnut Grove at 7 p.m. today in the Providence Christmas Classic.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 71, COMMERCE 13: Jaycie Bowen and Kailynn Gilstrap led Banks County in scoring with 13 points apiece in a win against Commerce. Kulia Beasley had 11 for the Lady Leopards (6-3).

Banks County plays Apalachee at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in Winder.

BANKS BOYS 72, COMMERCE BOYS 54: Banks County’s Dylan Orr posted 17 points against Commerce Monday night in Homer. Gabe Martin had 15 for Banks County. Kahmal Wiley, Carl Cleveland, and Dylann Nix had 10 points apiece for the Leopards (5-4).

Banks County plays Apalachee at on Wednesday in Winder.

HABERSHAM CENTRAL GIRLS 51, DAWSON COUNTY 43: Dawson County’s Kaylee Sticker had 12 points in a loss to Habersham Central on Monday. Abi Chatham finished with 10 points for the Lady Tigers (3-9).

Dawson County plays Stephens County next at 10 a.m. on Dec. 27 in the Commerce Christmas Classic.

DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 66, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 39: Jeremiah Crumley led Dawson with 16 points, nine assists, and six rebounds in a win against Habersham Central.

In the first quarter, the Tigers (7-5) jumped to a 21-5 lead in the first quarter and carried the momentum for the rest of the game.

Cullen Reed added 13 points, and Joseph Cronan pitched in 11 for Dawson County.

Dawson County will be back in action on Dec. 27 in the Commerce Christmas Tourney.

WANDO GIRLS (SC) 69, EAST HALL 59: East Hall’s Kylah Mize led the way with 29 points in a loss to Wando in the West Ashley Invitational.

Carly Winters had 16 for the Lady Vikings (5-5).

East Hall plays West Ashley at 5:30 p.m. today in Charleston, SC.

WANDO BOYS 76, EAST HALL BOYS 45: East Hall’s Sedrion Morse totaled 11 points in a loss to Wando on Monday in the West Ashley Invitational.

Luke Cooper finished with 10 points for the Vikings (7-3).

East Hall plays West Ashley today in the West Ashley Invitational.
