High school scoreboard: Carmen Wagner posts 6 goals as Lakeview Academy girls soccer wins 10-2

Carmen Wagner racked up six goals in the Lakeview Academy girls soccer team’s 10-2 win over Rabun Gap Nacoochee.

Meredith Tucker added two goals for the Lady Lions, while her teammates Maddy Towles and Kate Brooks scored a goal apiece. Lakeview Academy plays Hebron Christian at 5 p.m. Monday in Gainesville.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 4, LANIER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 1: Bryce Kimball scored two goals for the Lions (2-3-2).

Daniel Bulos and Simon Fox each added a goal for Lakeview Academy. Lions goalie TJ Wolcott had three saves.

Lakeview Academy plays Hebron Christian at 7 p.m. Monday in Gainesville.

Tennis

Brady Todd won in straight sets (6-0, 6-0) in Buford’s 5-0 win against Clarke Central.

Dalton Counts won in straight sets (6-1, 6-1) for the Wolves, while teammate Trent Milton also won his match (6-0, 6-1).

Cameron DeLoach/Alex Pruitt won in doubles for Buford (6-0, 6-1), and Cole Tarleton/Luke Davidson came away victorious in straight sets (6-1, 6-1).

BUFORD GIRLS 4, CLARK CENTRAL 1: Kenzie Walters won in No. 2 singles (6-1,6-1) for Buford. Savanna Klem claimed her match in No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-0) for the Lady Wolves.

Emma Place/Tamia Wayne were the victors in No. 1 doubles, winning their match in straight sets (6-1, 6-0). Buford’s Gabby Benson/Sydney Grothe won their match in No. 2 doubles.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 3, RIVERSIDE ACADEMY 2: Drayton Matus won in straight sets (6-1, 6-0) for the Falcons (5-2).

Brady McVey/John Hollis were the No. 1 doubles winners (6-1, 6-2) for Flowery Branch, and their teammates Nate Shedd/Dominick Garcia won in No. 2 doubles in straight sets (6-1,6-0).

BASEBALL

Reese Olson threw eight strikeouts in North Hall’s 4-3 win over North Forsyth. John Mark Montgomery and Drew Hubbard both drive in a run for the Trojans.
