Buford swept South Effingham 15-2 and 2-1, in the second round of the Class AAAAA state softball playoffs, earning a spot in the state tournament starting Oct. 27 in Columbus. The Lady Wolves will play Starr’s Mill at 2 p.m. on Oct. 27. Buford’s Samantha Thomas had a solo home run with two RBIs for the Lady Wolves in the first game.
