Tessa Daniels picked up the win in the pitching circle and added two hits and the plate for the Buford High softball team in a 5-3 win against North Forsyth at North Georgia College & State University on Wednesday in Dahlonega. Kodi Ricketson went 3 for 4 with a double, two runs driven in and scored twice for the Lady Wolves (5-5).
Jordan Deep added a double and an RBI for Buford, which hosts Class AAAAA’s No. 1 Brookwood at 5 p.m. today at Buford City Park.
JEFFERSON 14, ELBERT COUNTY 5: Savannah Snapp was the winning picture for the Lady Dragons (4-10, 2-1 Region 8-AA) on Tuesday in Elberton.
Jefferson host East Jackson at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
OCONEE COUNTY 5, WHITE COUNTY 0: Oconee County’s Geri Ann Glascoe pitched a no hitter on Tuesday against White County.
White County faces Franklin County at 5:55 p.m. today.
JACKSON COUNTY 15, HART COUNTY 2: The Lady Panthers were led at the plate by junior Madison Whitmire, who went 4 for 5 with two home runs and four RBIs.
Seniors Macey Latty and Haley Shinall, and freshman Jessica Baker each drove in a pair of runs for Jackson County.
Shinall was the winning pitcher, giving up two earned runs on three hits and striking out 11 Hart County batters.
The Lady Panthers will go on the road to face Elbert County at 5:55 today.
