An hour-long lightning delay didn’t stop Kali Turner from going 2-for-3 with two singles to help East Hall beat North Hall 10-5 Wednesday night.

Her hits, including one in the pivotal fourth inning, helped capture the lead for good in the victory. The Lady Vikings scored five runs on two doubles and an RBI single, while pitcher Kaitlyn Poole allowed five runs over seven innings.

East Hall had taken a quick 3-0 lead by the bottom of the first. Trailing in the fourth, East Hall’s Steffanie Redmon doubled, followed swiftly by two more hits. Abby Black and Turner provided insurance on a two-run error for East Hall.

East Hall plays region rival Banks County at East Hall Park at 5:30 p.m.

Kailee Dyer, Michaela Young, and Harper Seymour each had two hits for North Hall. Kaitlin Edwards and Ashley Goines both added a hit, while Harper Seymour and Ashley Goines combined for three RBIs for the Trojans.
