A day after being voted into Class AAA's Top 10 for the first time this season, the tenth-ranked White County girls soccer team defeated Stephens County, 3-0, on Tuesday in Cleveland.
Kaitlyn Hooper scored two goals, and Brie Ballinger scored once for White County (12-1, 7-1 Area 8A-AAA). The Lady Warriors visit Oconee County at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

FLOWERY BRANCH 18, SALEM 0 (FOUR INNINGS): Led by two home runs and six RBIs on 2-for-2 hitting from Keltin Devoe, the Falcons (10-3, 6-2 Region 8A-AAAA) won Tuesday in Conyers. Breck Davidson went 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs, while Logan Conley added a home run and three RBIs on 3-for-4 hitting. Jesse Brookshire drove in three runs for Flowery Branch, which visits Clarke Central at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.
ELBERT COUNTY 8, JEFFERSON 4 (MONDAY): Drew Carson went 3-for-4 with an RBI in the loss Monday in Jefferson. The Dragons (7-8, 6-7 Region 8B-AA) visit North Oconee at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.
Golf
GAINESVILLE BOYS PLACE FOURTH IN NORTH GEORGIA CLASSIC: Parks Brown, Will Frankum, Pep Brown, Matthew Cindea, Grant Lasseter, and Carson Brown combined to score +49 and place fourth in the North Georgia High School Classic on Tuesday at Achasta Golf Course in Dahlonega.
Jake Brooks, Jake price, Tanner Batson, Michael Thompson, Jared Brooks and Greg Reabold combined for a score of +75 for Habersham Central, which placed eighth.
WHITE COUNTY GIRLS PLACE FIFTH (MONDAY): The Lady Warriors carded a 205 to finish fifth out of 13 teams in the Fields Ferry Invitational on Monday in Calhoun.
Jodi Samples (99), Kaytlyn Sims (106), Brittan Slaton (108), and Rachel Hammon (113) recorded scored for White County, which hosts Stephens County at 4 p.m. April 11 at Mossy Creek.
