High school highlights: North Hall's Dubnik cards 3-under-par 33 in nine-hole match against Flowery Branch

North Hall senior Mikayla Dubnik carded a 3-under-par 33 as it beat Flowery Branch by 10 strokes on Tuesday at Chicopee Woods. The Lady Trojans’ top three scores totaled 124 and Flowery Branch scored 134.  

Tennis

JC Foster, Joshua Reynolds and Mason Smith swept through singles play for the Cherokee Bluff boys in a 5-0 win against Dawson County on Tuesday. In doubles, Connor Walker/Lee McDaniel and Lee McDaniel/Ricky Lush won in doubles for Cherokee Bluff. 

CHEROKEE BLUFF GIRLS 5, DAWSON COUNTY 0: Keely Merck, Emma Ross and Sara Stephens won in singles for the Lady Bears on Tuesday. In doubles, Presley Rosen/Alli Lester and Corey Hammond/Lauren Murrath won for Cherokee Bluff. 

Lacrosse

Tristan Lyon had four goals and three assists for Gainesville’s boys in a 13-1 win against South Gwinnett on Tuesday in Snellville. Luca Colombini had three goals for his first career hat trick. John Gerrell and Isaiah Yarbrough each had a pair of goals for the Red Elephants. 

Goalkeeper Caleb Whitlow had 10 saves for Gainesville. 

Soccer

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 3, KING'S RIDGE CHRISTIAN 2: Whit Coyle found the back of the net on a hit over the top of the defense from Sam Perrott with two minutes remaining in the game for the Lions (2-7-2, 1-2 Region 6-A private) on Tuesday. Perrott also found Coyle for a score late in the first half for Lakeview Academy. In the first minute of the match, Bodie Blackwell scored on a shot by Luke Cooper. 

Up next, Lakeview Academy hosts St. Francis at 7 p.m. Friday.
