Eight area high school football teams have earned the right to suit up at least one more Friday night, earning a berth in the GHSA state playoffs, which begin Friday night at sites throughout the state.
Three local teams nabbed playoff spots in Region 7-AAA, including Gainesville, which won the region championship with a victory over Flowery Branch. The Falcons will take the No. 3 seed.
As winners of the 7A-AAA subregion, North Hall gets the No. 2 seed and will play at The Brickyard on Friday night.
Other matchups are listed below. The higher seeded teams will play at home.
