Hall County Schools have canceled all sporting events scheduled for Monday as a result of the National Weather Service forecast for severe thunderstorms with high winds.

Johnson High first announced cancellations for its contests shortly before 3:30 p.m. The rest of the school system followed about 20 minutes later.

Hall County remains under a tornado watch until 8 p.m.
