The Gainesville City Board of Education has named the Gainesville High practice football field “Bruce Miller Field,” announced Monday. Miller is in his 41st year of coaching, 12 of which have been spent as the Red Elephants’ head coach. During his tenure, Miller’s teams have won 83 percent of their games, surpassing former Gainesville coach Joel H. Pittard’s record.
