Five area golfers were named to the Georgia High School Golf Coaches Association 2009 Class AAA Boys All-State Team released Tuesday.
Gainesville’s Justin Cochran and Jake Martin, North Hall’s Jimmy Lloyd and Landry Haynes and Lumpkin County’s Aaron George each were named to the team.
Coachran and Martin, both seniors, will also play in the GHSGCA’s Senior All-Star tournament June 2-4 at Sunset Country Club in Moultrie.
The match pits the 12 best senior golfers from North Georgia against the 12 best from the South in a Ryder-Cup Style format.
Red Elephants coach Bryson Worley was selected as one of the coaches for the North team.
