The Chestatee girls basketball team won the Chestatee Turkey Shootout Tuesday night, defeating North Gwinnett 43-42 in the championship game.
The Lady Eagles were led by Peri Satterfield’s nine points. Dawndria Bell scored eight, Lindsay Caudell and Morgan Bryant each scored seven while Kayla Watson added six.
Chestatee (3-0) visits Carrollton to play Lovejoy 1 p.m. Saturday.
FLOWERY BRANCH 68, GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN 43: The Lady Falcons defeated GAC to win the North Forsyth Thanksgiving Tournament Tuesday night.
Flowery Branch senior Breanna Locke was named tournament MVP and scored 17 points in the championship game. Julianne Sutton scored 11 and was named to the All-Tournament team. Caroline Wysocki scored 11 and Taniyah Worth had 10.
Flowery Branch (3-0) visits Clarke Central 6 p.m. next Tuesday.
EAST HALL 61, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 51: The Lady Vikings clinched the Piedmont Hardwood Classic with a 61-51 win over Lakeview Tuesday night.
East Hall’s Ashlyn Ellison won the tournament MVP and scored 21 points in the championship game. East Hall’s Kylah Mize scored 18 and was named to the All-Tournament team.
Lakeview was led by All-Tournament selection Hanna Grogan and her 19 points.
BANKS COUNTY 64, ELBERT COUNTY 43: The Lady Leopards defeated Elbert County at home Tuesday night.
Banks County’s Gabby Kennedy had 14 points, Allison Smith had 12 points and Morgan Rylee scored eight.
Banks County (2-0) hosts Commerce 6 p.m. next Tuesday.
DAWSON COUNTY 52, UNION COUNTY 32: The Lady Tigers were led by senior Karlie Bearden’s 18 points in their 52-32 win Monday night in Blairsville.
Dawson County senior Eliza Sillesky had 10 points, Haley Burgess had nine and freshman Kaylee Sticker scored eight.
Dawson County (3-0) plays Rabun County next Tuesday.
North Hall’s Carson Heinen scored 27 points in North Hall’s 71-49 win over Habersham Central Tuesday night.
Habersham Central was led by Cody Patterson (16 points) and Caleb Hodges (10 points).
North Hall (2-0) hosts Oconee County next Tuesday.
BANKS COUNTY 94, ELBERT COUNTY 72: Leopards junior Kahmal Wiley scored 19 points in a home win Tuesday night.
Banks County’s Zez Steeple had 16 points, Gabe Martin scored 14 and Trevae Cain had 13. Dylan Orr and Zac Orr scored 12 apiece.
Banks County (2-0) hosts Commerce next Tuesday.
