COLUMBUS — The Buford Lady Wolves advanced to the state championship game in the Class AAA state softball tournament with a 14-2 victory against Oconee County on Friday at the Columbus Softball Complex in Columbus. Buford (36-1) faces either Ringgold, Central-Carroll or Oconee County, all teams the Lady Wolves have beaten in Columbus this weekend, in the championship game at 1 p.m. today in Columbus. The Lady Wolves will need just one victory to earn a record seventh straight state championship.
