Powered by Peyton Robertson’s 21 points, the Chestatee High girls basketball team overcame a slim early margin and defeated Villa Rica, 55-45, Monday night.

Villa Rica held a four-point lead after one quarter, and were up by one point at halftime, but was outscored by the Lady War Eagles 32-21 in the second half.

Rachel Kelly added 11 points for Chestatee.

The Lady War Eagles will return to action 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, when they play host to Johnson.
