Three area baseball players were part of the North Team that played in the Georgia Dugout Club Elite 96 All-Star Series last weekend and Kennesaw State University and Georgia Southern University.

The North Team, coached by Jefferson’s Tommy Knight, finished 3-2 with wins over Atlanta East, Atlanta West and Southwest Georgia

Chris Beck of Jefferson pitched four innings in the tournament.

Jefferson’s Chris Swancey, also of the Dragons, saw 3 1/3 innings of action on the mound. Lakeview Academy’s Brett Armour was catcher for two games.
