BUFORD GIRLS 66, GRAYSON 38: Behind a balanced scoring effort, the top-ranked Lady Wolves picked up a win Saturday in the Gwinnett Challenge at Grayson High in Loganville.
Tory Ozment scored 13 points, Audrey Weiner totaled 12 and Sierra Sieracki notched 11 for Buford (8-0). The Lady Wolves return to action against Morgan County at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Buford.
GRAYSON BOYS 65, GAINESVILLE 63: Class 7A’s seventh-ranked Rams made a tip-in at the buzzer to hand Gainesville a loss Saturday night in Loganville.
Gainesville’s Bailey Minor recorded a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds, while teammate Jarrel Rosser had 17 points and eight boards. The Red Elephants, ranked No. 3 in Class 6A, will travel to Cedar Shoals at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
BANKS COUNTY BOYS 64, WEST HALL 54: Carl Cleveland’s 22 points and seven boards pushed the Leopards (7-0) to a win Saturday in Oakwood.
Darius Bonds produced a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists, while Dylan Orr achieved a similar feat with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Gabe Martin had 11 points for Banks County.
The Leopards begin their Region 8-2A slate against Monticello at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Homer.
BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 55, WEST HALL 36: Allison Smith had 16 points as the Lady Leopards picked up a win Saturday in Oakwood.
Banks County (5-2) received 11 points from Jaycie Bowen and eight points from Morgan Lyons. Maddie Thomas added seven points for the Lady Leopards, who open Region 8-2A play against Monticello at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Homer.
EAST HALL BOYS 88, GREATER ATLANTA CHRISTIAN 74: Qua Butler recorded 23 points as the Vikings knocked off No. 2 Greater Atlanta Christian in a Region 7-3A game Friday night.
Jayvion Rucker and Luke Cooper each scored 16 points for East Hall, while Luke Holtzclaw added 12.
