High school football: Haynes shines for White County in 66-14 win against Lumpkin County

White County freshman quarterback J. Ben Haynes threw for 197 yards with four touchdowns in a 66-14 win against Lumpkin County on Friday night in Cleveland. 

Kaleb Crane rushed for 101 yards with a scoring touchdown for the Warriors (2-0), and teammate Bailey Anderson totaled 86 yards on the ground and scored a touchdown. Ty Ulrich (70 receiving yards, one touchdown) and Cody VerSluis (46 receiving, one touchdown) contributed in the passing game for White County. 

Will Anglin and DeeJay Fleming each recovered a fumble for a touchdown for White County, which visits Habersham Central at 7:30 p.m. next Friday in Mt. Airy.
