Gleason, White wins best ball match

The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association played at two-person team best ball game Tuesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.

The team of Ann White and Nora Gleason won the game with a net score of 63. The team of Peggy Hall and Jewell Floyd and the team of Violet Reynolds and Carolyn Palmer tied for second with a net score 64.

White was the closest to the pin winner on hole No. 12.

Chattahoochee Men's Golf Association 

The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a two best ball aggregated net points game on Wednesday at Chattahoochee Golf Course.

First place finished in a three-way tie between the team of Bill Hardman, Bill Kinser and Johnny Little, the team of Jack Costello, Ed Pledger, Jim Carroll and Don Graff and the team of Bill Ingram, Paul Payne, George Clegg and Bob Watson.

The team of A.J. Kiker, Don Wells, Jere Cochran and Glynn Rogers finished fourth.

Fifth place also finished in a three-way tie between the team of Ralph Prescott, Carlyle Cox, John T. Smith and Gary Palmer, the team of Bob Pyne, Jerry Ermlich, Jimmy Johnson and Guy Long and the team of John Williams, Denny Momper, Don Sorrell and Dave Long.

Closest to the pin winners were Momper (No. 3), Prescott (No. 5), Paul Payne (No. 12) and Bob Layne (No. 17).

Wednesday Dogfight

Chicopee Woods played host to the Wednesday Dogfight this week.

The team of Roger Stapp, Vince Jonte, Gayle Gibson and Bill Jorgenson won the event.

Keith Fitzgerald won individually.

Jorgenson finished second and Jim Arendt finished third.
