ATLANTA — Authorities say a Georgia Tech baseball player has been charged with driving under the influence.
A police report obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution states that Matt Skole was arrested and charged in early February after a Georgia State Patrolman pulled him over on Roswell Road in Buckhead on Feb. 3.
The newspaper reported that Skole was suspended for the second game of the season for violating team rules.
The 21-year-old from Woodstock was an All-ACC performer last season, and is hitting .478 this season with one home run and eight runs batted in in six games.
Georgia Tech's online student directory does not list a phone number for Skole, and it was not immediately known whether he has an attorney.
