UGA' Crowell earns SEC weekly honors

University of Georgia running back Isaiah Crowell has been awarded the Southeastern Conference Freshman Of the Week for the second time this season.

Crowell, a 5-11, 215-pound native of Columbus finished with a pair of career highs with 30 carries for 147 yards rushing.It was his second game with more than 100 yards after tallying 118 versus South Carolina.

Crowell’s 30 attempts were the most for a Bulldog since Knowshon Moreno had 33 carries in 2007.

The fourth leading rusher in the SEC, Crowell averaging 102.8 yards a game, which is second in the nation for freshmen.

The Bulldogs (2-2, 1-1 SEC) host Mississippi State (2-2 0-2) at Sanford Stadium at noon on Saturday.
