Lady Dogs draw Tulane in NCAA first round

ATLANTA — Georgia is headed to Tempe, Ariz., to face Tulane in the first round of the NCAA women's tournament.

The Lady Bulldogs (23-8), the No. 5 seed in the Sacramento region, will face No. 12 seed Tulane (26-6) on Saturday.

Georgia set a school record by winning its first 16 games this season and was ranked No. 6 before losing six of eight late in the season.

The Lady Bulldogs recovered to win their last two regular-season games and their Southeastern Conference tournament opening game before losing to Mississippi State in the quarterfinals.
