ATHENS — Georgia has signed junior college kicker Brandon Bogotay, giving coach Mark Richt 20 signees in his 2009 class.

Bogotay, from San Diego, made 15 of 23 field-goal attempts as a freshman in 2008 at Grossmont College in El Cajon, Calif. He was named a first-team all-Southern Conference selection.

Bogotay's longest field goal was from 52 yards.

Richt said he's looking forward to Bogotay "competing on our kickoff, field goal, and extra point teams." Bogotay is expected to enroll at Georgia this summer and be eligible for the 2009 season.

Bogotay did not play football while attending Patrick Henry High School in San Diego.
