The DPG played matches Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week at Chicopee Woods Golf Course.
On Monday, Terrence Dale took first place with a score of +5. Dave Jetter and Jerry Shell tied for second with scores of +2.
Wednesday’s match was won by Dave Jetter with a +3. Steve Knowles and Charley Kilby tied for second with +1.
Billy Corbin and Jerry Shell tied for fourth place with scores of even.
Terrence Dale took first place Friday with a score of +7. Bob Kidd took second with a +3 and Billy Corbin was third with +2.
CMGA: The Chattahoochee Men’s Golf Association played a two best ball, aggregated net-strokes game Wednesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.
The team of Bob Watson, Dave Gleason, Jim Carroll and Bill Kopecky tied Claude Schneider, Jere Cochran and Paul Payne for first place.
Third place was a tie between the team of Harry Barnett, Gary Palmer, Don Gage and Greg Taira and the team of Eddie Johnson, Butch Teston, Dave Long and Dick Bachman. Jim Hollobaugh, Ron Hopley, J. B. Johnston teamed up for fifth place, while Doug Van, Robert Mallis, A. J. Kiker and Bill Ingram tied Jim Van Dyke, Denny Momper, Roger Futrell and Chuck Keith for sixth.
Closest to the pin winners were Kopecky on No. 3, Ed Pledger on No. 5, John T. Smith on No. 12 and Leroy Harper on No. 17.
CLGA: The Chattahoochee Ladies Golf Association played a low net, best-ball event on Tuesday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.
First place went to the team of Peggy Hall, Paula Pilgrim, Sandy Adams and Nancy Negley with second place going to the team of Mona White, Sue Cronmiller, Nora Gleason and Judy Pannell. Third place was won by the team of Peggy Hall, Beulah Land, Carolyn Palmer and Sissy Lawson. Closest to the pin winners were Hall on No. 3 and Ann Hollobaugh on No. 17.
LUNA: The Luna’s Tuesday Golf Group played at Chattahoochee Golf Course this week. First place went to the team of Johnny Nix, Joe Campbell, Larry Miller and Cleve Brown. Second place went to the team of Gene Weschler, Gene Cobb, Doug Van and Chad Pierce.
Third place went to the team of Randy Gordy, Richard Strickland, Jim Cornett and Jerry Johns. Closest to the pin winners were Jack Barrett on No. 3, Strickland on No. 5, Nix on No. 12 and Tom Sexton on No. 17.
