Jacqueline McWorter is transferring to Brenau University from Chattahoochee Valley Community College (Phenix, Ala.) of the Alabama Community College Conference, where she was a two-time First Team All Conference and All Region selection in 2009-10.

McWhorter led the conference with a .485 batting average last season. She also excelled in the classroom, earning President’s and Dean’s List honors last year.

“Jacqueline is a very determined and hard working young lady,” Brenau coach Devon Thomas said. “She can hit for average or with power from the right sight of the plate or turn around and slap from the left to utilize her speed.”

In her two years at CVCC, she hit .401 with 20 doubles, seven home runs and 48 stolen bases.
