North Georgia's Coan named All-American
Junior transfer led Lady Saints to College World Series

North Georgia College and State University junior pitcher Jessica Coan was named an Easton All-American on Thursday.

Coan, the Division II National Pitcher of the Year, finished the season with a 27-5 record and a 1.09 ERA, leading the Saints to their third straight appearance in the Division II College World Series.

In her 40 appearances, Coan set a Lady Saints single-season record with 334 strikeouts in 218 1/3 innings of work, while adding 25 complete games.

Coan set the program record for strikeouts in a seven-inning game with 19, which is also the second-most strikeouts in the history of NCAA Division II softball.
