The fifth-ranked University of North Georgia baseball team cruised to a 7-1 win over West Florida in the first of a two-game series in Pensacola, Fla. on Tuesday. The Nighthawks (26-7) never trailed after taking a one-run lead in the top of the first off a Michael Bell (2 for 5, RBI, run scored) one-run single which scored Connor Hoover (1 for 2, run scored, RBI), who reached on a one-out double. The Nighthawks scattered seven additional hits to add one run in the top of the second and top of the third, and two runs in the top of the fifth and sixth innings.
