College baseball: North Georgia places nine players on All-Conference team
Nighthawks coach Cantrell named Coach of the Year

University of North Georgia baseball coach Tom Cantrell was tabbed Peach Belt Conference Coach of the Year, as announced Tuesday. The top-ranked Nighthawks (40-8) are finished with the regular season and open league tournament play today.
The Nighthawks also had nine players who made the All-Conference team.

Michael Bell (second base), Michael Gouge (outfield), Steven Bower (pitcher) and Dylan Peppers (pitcher) made the First-Team for North Georgia

Devin Gearhart (third base), Connor Hoover (shortstop), Bill Leroy (designated hitter), Daniel McCrary (pitcher) and Josh Bryan (pitcher) made the second team for the Nighthawks.

Up next, North Georgia opens league tournament play against Georgia Southwestern at 5 p.m. today at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C.
