College baseball: Hoover drives in nine runs for North Georgia in 18-2 win

Connor Hoover drove in a school-record nine runs as second-round North Georgia beat Emmanuel College 18-2 on Sunday in Dahlonega. Hoover had a three-run homer for the Nighthawks in the fourth inning.

Michael Bell had a two-run homer for North Georgia. Hoover, Conner Corbitt and Joshua Peterson each had three hits for North Georgia.

Lumpkin County High graduate Daniel McCrary picked up the win, tossing five innings of one-hit ball with five strikeouts.

The Nighthawks (40-8) return to action against Georgia Southwestern in the opening round of the Peach Belt Conference tournament May 10 in Florence, S.C.
