North Georgia College & State University's Jaymee Carnes was named to the Peach Belt All-Conference Team and was selected as the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year.

The Gainesville graduate had an historic season in her first year at North Georgia, leading the nation in scoring.

Should she finish the year holding onto that scoring lead, she would be only the second women's basketball player in league history to lead the nation in scoring.

Carnes leads the league and is ranked eighth nationally in blocks.

She is second in the PBC and fifteenth nationally in rebounding with 11.2 per game, and leads the nation with 20 double-doubles this year.

A three-time PBC Player of the Week, she had 30 or more points three times and a season-high 40 against Brenau.

Her 624 points scored this year is the 10th-highest single-season total in league history.

She is the first North Georgia women's basketball player to be named the PBC's Player of the Year.
