The Brenau University softball team was eliminated from the NAIA women’s softball championship Tuesday evening with a 4-3 loss to Georgia Gwinnett College.

The Golden Tigers (30-24 in 2016) defeated Milligan College earlier in the day, beating the Buffaloes 8-1 in Lawrenceville.

Brenau recorded 15 hits against Milligan College, with six Tigers collecting RBIs.

Brenau trailed 3-0 to Georgia Gwinnett before tying the game up at 3-3. However, the Golden Tigers fell to the Grizzlies after Tori Heinemann crossed home plate in the seventh inning.
