The Durham Bulls sent 10 batters to the plate in the top of the sixth inning and scored six runs to beat the Gwinnett Braves 13-6 on Sunday at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The Bulls overcame a 4-0 deficit after a half inning of play and hammered out 19 hits in getting the win.
Jose Ortegano gave up seven runs in 3 1/3 innings to take the loss for Gwinnett.
Barbaro Canizares went 2-for-4 and Wes Timmons and Luis Bolivar each hit their first home run of the season.
The Braves and Bulls continue their four-game series at 7:05 tonight with game three at Coolray Field.
Jair Jurrjens (0-3, 6.38 ERA at Atlanta) is scheduled to make a rehab start for the Braves.
