Riverside falls to Greene County, 24-7

Greene County held off Riverside Military Academy 24-7 on Friday at Maginnis Field in Gainesville.

J.J. McCalston powered the Eagles defense, but Riverside couldn’t hold off the Tigers’ offense.

McCalston finished with three interceptions for the Eagles (2-6, 1-3 Region 8-AA) and returned a punt 66 yards for the lone Riverside touchdown.

Chris Howard finished with 31 yards rushing on six carries for the Eagles, and notched 47 yards on three catches.

Riverside Military plays host to Union County next Friday in Gainesville.
