Athens Academy defeated Commerce 21-10 on Friday night in Commerce.

After going down 14-0 at the beginning of the game Commerce was unable to complete the comback.

Tiger quarterback Cody Streetman, who totaled 76 yards on 15 carries, scored at the end of the second quarter to bring the game to 12-7 at the half.

The Spartans added another touchdown before Commerce kicker Josh Wistak connected on a 33-yard field goal, which put the score at 18-7. Athens Academy added a late field goal of their own to push the score to 21-10.

Quay Little added 59 yards on 12 carries as the Commerce offense totaled 247 yards to the Spartans 252 yards.

Commerce travels to Prince Avenue next week.
