Did I really read that correctly? Are Hall County and Gainesville really considering giving taxpayers’ monies to spruce up Lakeshore Mall? (story here)

The mall is private property; let the owners fix it up. They had enough money to buy it, so it is their problem, not the taxpayers’. By the way, I own a small shopping center — how about fixing that up for me, also?

I sincerely hope that every taxpayer out there will let their voices be known and say and ask if our representatives in the city and the county have lost their minds. If this kind of nonsense is allowed to happen, every commercial property owner will put their name on this freebie list, including me.
