Letter: City leaders must follow their vision
Lula

City officials and the city community must have a view for future growth. Families and homes need to be built and strengthened, because when you attack the family, you attack the foundation of civilization. Money can build a house, but it takes love to build a home.

There is an old saying that if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

Being human, there are things we want to get. But will what we get be essential to what is needed? That is the important question.

Conscience is a knowledge and a guidance to tell you what is the difference from right to wrong.

Do we have an understanding and a commitment between the elected officials and the people in our city that we have each other’s back and are not stabbing each other in the back?

Are we honest in what we say and feel? Because knowing the Lord and following the Lord are two different things. When the church acts like the world, it fails. We should not judge a person on what they wear or show on the outside, but what they show and do from their inside out.

These are the ingredients we need in our mobility to move forward to make our city a better place to live.

Mordecai Wilson

Lula City Councilman
