Yes, it was very nice for St. John and Air Line to have service together. But I don’t want Hall County to forget back in 1995 that the Gainesville Prayer Band went into an all-white church, and we’re still going into all-white churches on the first Sunday of the month.

I don’t have to wait for something to happen until I can fellowship with my white brothers and sisters. I was brought up to love everybody. My daddy taught us that when we were in the country.

I know my skin may be darker than some folk’s, but when we go into the ground, all the dirt is going to be red.
