Lewis Halle, of Cleveland, leaves Hall County Magistrate Court Monday morning after learning his rape charges will be sent on to Superior Court. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office reports that Halle was arrested this month after authorities say he raped a woman.
A woman took the stand Monday and said she feared for her life when a man put a pillow over her face and allegedly sexually assaulted her. “I was playing dead,” the alleged rape victim said from the witness stand during a preliminary hearing against the accused — 52-year-old Lewis Junior Halle, of Cleveland. “I was scared, it seemed like forever,” the victim testified, when asked by Halle’s defense lawyer if she remembered how long she’d been in the bedroom with Halle.
