A woman was found dead Sunday at a home on Hidden Knoll in North Hall County.

A woman was found dead Sunday afternoon in North Hall County.

Authorities responded to a home in the 3200 block of Hidden Knoll off C Rogers Road after a call came in at 4:50 p.m. for a “problem unknown,” according to a news release from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office. After responding, they found the body of a 43-year-old Hispanic woman.

“We are not commenting as to the cause of death just yet, just confirming that the death was apparent upon locating her inside the residence,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Nicole Bailes wrote in an email.

The woman, Bailes said, had recently moved here from Carrollton.

Neighbors said a chain-linked fence at the corner of Hidden Knoll and Country View Circle was surrounded Sunday night with yellow police tape. The tape was gone Monday.

Investigators interviewed acquaintances and gathered evidence through the night Sunday and Monday, according to the news release. They are working to locate the victim’s family, and no further details were available Monday.

The woman’s body will be sent for an autopsy at the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office.
