A 71-year-old Carnesville woman was killed in a wreck Tuesday morning on Ga. 365, officials said.
Joyce Anglin died after she pulled her Toyota Camry into the path of a Nissan and was struck in the driver’s side, the Georgia State Patrol said. A passenger in Anglin’s car was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
The crash happened at about 8:21 a.m. at the intersection of Ga. 365 and Athens Street near Lula.
Anglin was driving west on Athens Street when she failed to yield to a northbound Nissan on Ga. 365, the patrol said.
A person in the Nissan also was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
The names and the conditions of those injured in the crash were not immediately available.
The accident temporarily closed all lanes for about two hours.
