West Hall seventh-grader wins county spelling bee

After many rounds of intense competition, Emily Wood won the Hall County School District spelling bee with the correct spelling of “goatee.” Wood, a seventh-grader at West Hall Middle School, will go on to the regional, District 3 spelling bee with the first runner-up, Terri Hollander, fifth-grader at Sardis Enrichment School. Roman Yaskulka, a sixth-grader at North Hall Middle, was second runner-up in the bee held at First Baptist Church.
