The Georgia Fugitive and Apprehension Unit is looking for a Gainesville man who did not return to the Hall County Correctional Institution’s transitional center Monday night, March 5.
Eric Blair, 35, is serving a sentence on drug charges and is considered a nonviolent offender. He went to work Monday and then class at Lanier Technical College, Warden Walt Davis said.
“He checked in upon completion of class at 10:30 p.m., so he was deemed ready to return to the transitional center and never returned,” Davis said. “After an eight-hour unauthorized leave period, we had to declare him an escapee (Tuesday) morning.”
