Two masked men entered a Lula home Monday morning and forced a victim to open the safe, according to authorities.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 5900 block of Chattahoochee Street before 5 a.m, where two men had broken through the front door.

“One of the victims, who was in the living room watching television at the time, was ordered to the floor and struck on the head with a handgun,” Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks wrote in an email.

Another person opened a safe and gave “a large amount of cash,” Wilbanks said.

The first victim suffered a laceration to the head and was treated at the scene, and no other injuries were reported.

The men were described as “light-skinned Hispanic,” believed to be middle-aged. There may also be a third suspect in a car.

Anyone with information about the incident or know of someone who “may have inexplicably come into a large sum of money” is asked to call the investigator at 770-533-7187, Wilbanks said.
