A young black bear was hit and killed by a vehicle in northwest Hall County on Sunday, according to Georgia State Patrol officials.

A truck pulling a camper struck the bear at the intersection of Duckett Mill Road and Banks Mountain Drive at 1:24 p.m.

The bear was dead when troopers arrived, but the vehicle sustained very little damage and no one was injured.
