Officers are continuing to investigate three weekend robberies, which they say appear unrelated.

Hall County sheriff's deputies responded to the first at 8 p.m. Saturday on Lyman Street, where a couple reportedly robbed a cab driver.

The driver told deputies a black man and black woman, between ages 20 and 30, got into the victim's taxi at apartments on Atlanta Street and asked him
to go to a Lyman Street address.

Once there, the couple showed a weapon, demanded money, then ran with the cash, deputies said.

Deputies searched the area without success.

Gainesville Police reported the second incident took place 9 p.m. at Delray Farms market on the 2200 block of Browns Bridge Road.

Dario Lazaro, 26, told officers he was in the parking lot when a black car pulled up alongside him. Two people got out of the car, hit him in the head, took his money and fled, police said.

Lazaro was treated at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for minor injuries.

The third robbery happened 10 p.m. on the 1800 block of Athens Street, Gainesville police said.

Jose Arellano-Cruz, 49, said three black men approached him with a firearm, demanded his money, then dashed with the cash, police said.
