Teen driver class at Gainesville High

Gainesville High School is set to host a free teen driving class from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday.

The class is for students ages 14-16 and their parents and is designed to help parents and their new teen drivers learn what they need to do during the 40 hours of supervised practice driving time required by Georgia law.

Rather than a technical hands-on driver training course, this program addresses driver attitude, knowledge and behavior of both the parent and new teen driver.

A parent or guardian is required to attend with each teen driver.

Preregistration by phone is required. To pre-register, call the Hall County Extension office at 770-535-8290.
