Sunday afternoon crash in Dawson County kills 1

Authorities say one person was killed, and another injured, in a crash Sunday afternoon on Ga. 400.

The accident occurred around 12:45 p.m. at the corner of Henry Grady Highway and Ga. 400, according to Gordy Wright, public information officer of the Georgia State Patrol.

A Harley motorcycle being driven by Daniel Stein, 53, from Cumming was northbound on 400 when it collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe being driven by Ronnie Hugh Anglin, 61, from Flowery Branch. The Tahoe was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of Ga. 400 from Henry Grady.

Stein was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta with serious injuries. His passenger ­- Krista M. Stein, 47 - died. A passenger in the Tahoe - Shirley Anglin, 60 - had complaints of injuries but was not transported.

The crash is under investigation by GSP Cumming and the Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team. Charges are pending.
