Little growth in the 2016 Hall County tax digest has led to questions from local school and government officials, and it could lead to a tax rate increase for Hall County schools. Local officials expressed concern, and some disagreement, when preliminary estimates for the digest increase were in the 2 percent range. Final numbers were released May 20, and the increase is projected to be 2.16 percent over last year.
