It’s the first week of summer break for many kids and the weather is predicted to be seasonably nice.
Warm weather is expected throughout the week, said Mike Leary, a forecaster with the National Weather Service.
“Starting on Monday it’s going to be mostly sunny,” Leary said. “There is a 30 percent chance of some afternoon showers and thunderstorms.”
Low temperatures will be in the mid- 60s with highs in the low-80s.
The weather will stay warm and sunny with about a 20 percent chance of rain through Wednesday.
“It’s your typical afternoon showers in the summer,” Leary said. “There’s a one in five chance of getting something.”
The high temperature is expected to reach 90 on Thursday.
“That’s probably going to be the hottest day,” Leary said.
Leary said there is good news for those with Memorial Day weekend plans.
“Saturday will be completely dry,” Leary said.
